  • we are looking to recruit individuals who will provide a high standard of direct nursing care to our residents, based on the assessment of care needs

Responsibility

  • QCF level 2 in Health and Social Care is desirable but not essential as you will be required to start training towards a Level 2 Qualification if successful for the post
  • we are looking to recruit individuals who have a genuine interest in working with older persons and could provide a positive attitude to meeting the needs and choices of individuals in our care
  • attend training sessions
  • take part in Staff and Residents’ meetings as directed by Senior Management

Responsibility

  • manage and control stock levels and purchasing of food supplies, ensuring materials are ordered in correct quantities
  • to prepare and cook a balanced, nutritious diet appropriate to the needs and preferences of the residents
  • to keep the purchase of materials within the allocated catering budget
  • plan and prepare balanced, varied, and nutritious menus, considering residents' needs and dietary preferences
  • to place weekly food orders
  • responsible for budgeting and cost control of food
  • oversee kitchen staff training to ensure compliance with current food safety and hygiene legislation
  • to maintain a high standard of cleanliness with in the kitchen as I.A.W. Environmental Health guidelines

Requirements

  • experience / qualifications are not required. A full valid UK driving license is required
  • we are looking for enthusiastic, hardworking, reliable employees to work with our Catering department. Previous experience is essential. Qualifications are desirable

  • delivery driver experience: 1 year

Responsibility

  • work as part of a team
  • follow COSHH procedures as per the department training programme
  • ensure the vehicle is maintained in a clean and operational condition
  • complete any necessary administration, including collection of monies, as directed by management
  • participate in and contribute to ongoing service development
  • ability to interact pleasantly, constructively and cooperatively with customers in accordance with the home aims and objectives
  • to provide a transported meals service to vulnerable people living in the community. With all health, safety and hygiene rules and regulations

deputy nursing home manager

Responsibility

  • providing assistance with the Management of the day-to-day running of the home
  • ensuring high standards of care are being delivered safely in line with legislation
  • working with the Registered Manager to develop an ethos that reflects residents’ individual needs
  • ensure all staff are working in accordance with the Codes of Professional Practice for Social Care Wales
  • participate in weekly Manager / Deputy Meetings to communicate the needs and movements of residents and staff in the home
