  • GCSE or equivalent

Requirements

  • minimum of 12 months experience as a Turning Operator / Setter / Programmer
  • minimum of 12 months experience as a Sliding Head Operator / Setter / Programmer, preferably on Star machines
  • extensive knowledge of turning methodology & manufacturing techniques aimed at optimal manufacturing stability, and keen cycle times
  • sound knowledge of CNC controls, Fanuc language and to be able to set a CNC lathe would be an advantage
  • sound knowledge of CNC controls, Fanuc language, should be able to set a CNC sliding head Lathe unsupervised
  • capable of reading technical drawings, understanding GD&T
  • experienced at working and inspecting to close tolerances
  • able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
