warehouse supervisor
Responsibility
- ensuring that the quality, qualifications and experience of all team staff is appropriate to their roles
- recording and reporting accidents in accordance with company policy
- ensuring all warehouse service levels are maintained at the same time as keeping costs at a minimum
- weekly reporting to Warehouse Manager on team performance and efficiencies
- ensuring all your staff receive monthly 1 to 1’s and annual appraisals
- promoting good behaviours from all staff
- ensuring agreed staffing levels are in place and that agency use is kept to a minimum and only used in exceptional circumstances
- motivating, mentoring, encouraging and training your staff to get the maximum productivity from each member of the team
Requirements
- computer literate
- knowledge of legal requirements of running a warehouse
- ability to plan and organise
- ability to inspire, motivate and lead a team of people
- experience of a warehouse environment
- managerial experience
- experience of dealing with disciplinary and grievance issues
- numerate
