Responsibility

bela Recruitment is currently seeking a Payroll Officer ( - for the Coleraine area, Derry/Londonderry, Northern Ireland
ensure correct reporting to meet statutory obligations with them
staying up to date on payroll regulations and ensure compliance with any changes to legislation
ad hoc tasks to support clients and the business as required
as the Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for processing client payroll functions across a mix of weekly, fortnightly, and monthly clients
this list of clients is easily manageable for anyone with previous payroll experience, clients are a mix in sizes from 2-3 with 10-50 staff, then much of the rest are smaller 1-2 person companies
if deciding to work Full-Time, the job would be a mix of Payroll duties 15-20 hrs per week, and the remaining a mix of general bookkeeping / accounts technician duties supporting clients

Requirements

this might suit someone either part-qualified or qualified by experience, we are open to both
strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines for processing payroll
excellent communication skills and ability to build strong client relationships
ability to work independently and as part of a team
min 1-2 years previous Payroll or Accounts Technician experience from either another accountancy practice or from working in a commercial industry setting
payroll or Book Keeping or Accounts Technician: 1 year
