head housekeeper
Responsibility
- supervise and train a team of housekeeping staff, ensuring that they adhere to established cleaning procedures and standards
- assign daily tasks and responsibilities to housekeeping staff, ensuring efficient and timely completion of work
- inspect residents rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness, making sure that all areas meet or exceed our high standards
- maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed
- handle complaints or concerns regarding housekeeping services, resolving issues promptly and effectively
- collaborate with other departments, such as front desk and maintenance, to ensure seamless operations
- conduct regular performance evaluations for housekeeping staff, providing feedback and coaching for improvement
- stay updated on industry trends and best practices in hotel housekeeping
Requirements
- previous experience in care home housekeeping or a similar role within the hospitality industry
- strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- knowledge of cleaning procedures, techniques, and equipment
- ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a high level of professionalism
- effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
