- monitor and evaluate the company's hygiene and sanitation program
- knowledge and application of company procedures and product control standards, following management instructions
- plan and lead the production line
- you will be responsible for preparing ingredients to be used for production, monitoring quality, packing and general food production duties
- review product and environmental sanitation procedures
- have a good knowledge of all training manuals, complying with them at all times
- you will have a direct, hands-on approach to daily food production
- produce ingredients or goods in line with the agreed production plan
- adhere to all occupational health and safety standards
- maintaining stock levels in Production High Care Chill
- ensure that all new employees are trained in the company's hygiene and sanitation procedures
- plan daily production needs in conjunction with production and preparation department manager
- promote a good health, safety and environmental culture within the department that complies with Company procedures
- high standards of personal hygiene
- monitor the environmental conditions of the workplace to ensure standards of cleanliness are met
- check and weigh all raw materials, ensuring accuracy
- maintaining a clean production environment
- implement safety procedures that protect workers against infectious disease
- ensure all machine settings are correct
- knowledge of food safety
- run quality checks on products prepared, for example, the size and weight of the finished product, use by date, etc
- the successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of cleaners and ensuring that the workplace is clean at all times
- understanding and implementing health and safety regulations
- ensure ingredients are sliced, cooked, chiller or defrosted as set down in the training manuals
- assembling, packaging and labelling
- supervise staff, providing training when needed
- continuously monitor raw materials/ingredients, all operational processes and the overall production environment to ensure that all activity comply with food safety manufacturing standards
- this is achieved by
- occasionally review operational trends within Line/Area to identify and act on opportunities that make sustainable improvements to increase quality, performance and/or profit in support of the shift operational plan
- maintain acceptable housekeeping standards at all times, ensuring a clean and safe working environment
- ensure the safety and security of the stock, ensuring that there are adequate security systems in place
- administer all paperwork and delivery notes according to company procedures
- manage all goods inwards activities and processes including returns
- ensuring Health and Safety procedures are followed and tractability information correctly recorded
- 10. Keep the working and storage areas free of hazards as per the company’s health and safety procedures
