Responsibility
general Duties
ensure that the reception area is kept clean and tidy and feels welcoming when patients and visitors arrive
use a number of different clinic software systems in line with Acorn policies and procedures
promote an environment where every person is treated as an individual
ensure all of the correct mandatory forms are completed by patients prior to their appointments
report any instances of discrimination to the practice manager, whether related to yourself or another person
to make appointments either in person or on the telephone; take deposits for the services that require them, either over the phone or in person; rearrange and cancel appointments and deal with enquiries for all Acorn clinics
promote an environment that presents no barriers to anybody regardless of disability, race, gender, ethnicity, age etc
Requirements
thrives working in a fast-paced, busy environment
communicate effectively and appropriately with other team members, patients and their carers/families etc
enjoys learning new skills and developing upon medical knowledge to support the role
communicate effectively with a range of professionals and outside agencies
adaptable to change in an ever expanding healthcare clinic
recognise people’s needs for alternative methods of communication and respond accordingly
works well under pressure
ensure all written communication is to a high standard
