pastoral Manager, Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
about the Role
you will support the induction of learners and ensure that they are aware of the pastoral care and wellbeing support available
the Pastoral Manager’s role is to lead on pastoral care and wellbeing, including the line management of Mental Health Champions and any Learning Support Assistants who deliver pastoral care and wellbeing
the successful candidate will ensure the development of a safe learner environment including being a DSL and delivering on safeguarding policies and procedures
you will ensure effective communication with parents, where appropriate, and create and maintain positive relationships which support the best interests of the young person, always encouraging and supporting vulnerable learners by raising their self-esteem, aspirations and outcomes
you will deliver the Level 2 Health and Wellbeing course and work with the team of Pastoral Managers to create resources for the course and book external speakers where appropriate
you will be responsible for the creation of displays in the centre on mental health and wellbeing, and the promotion of other events and activities in line with the Equality and Diversity Calendar
Requirements
A degree or equivalent in a relevant subject is essential and a professional qualification in mental health is desirable

you will be experienced in managing staff and ‘At Risk’ learners and you will have in-depth knowledge of Safeguarding and Prevent statutory regulations
