Requirements

  • you should have a flexible approach to workload with the ability to prioritise
  • A level’s or equivalent qualifications or experience.You will have a basic knowledge of Health and Safety procedures and experience of supervising staff would be advantageous but not essential

Responsibility

  • day to day management of tasks allocated to the caretaking team, and record when jobs are completed
  • initial point of contact for contractors on site, and reporting back to College Site Manager as required
  • ensuring contractors are escorted on-site in line with safeguarding regulations as required
  • assist with room set-up/assemblies as required, including working with the exams team for room layouts etc
  • co-ordinate the servicing, upgrading and ongoing management of the catering equipment, working with the appointed catering company
  • work with the College Site Manager to manage the spreadsheet of works to be carried out across the college and boarding houses
  • working closely with third-party management and private landlords on the upkeep of accommodation blocks
  • assisting with compliance inspections across the sites
