- live the mission, values and drivers every day
- maintain a visible profile within the college grounds, patrolling the internal and external site throughout each shift
- carry out student searches when necessary and in keeping with college policy on such searches
- have a good working knowledge and understanding of health and safety responsibilities
- monitor behaviour when students, staff and visitors are entering the site, ensuring that college standards of behaviour are adhered to and offering advice and enforcement where necessary
- work within our trust’s policies and procedures with particular regard for health and safety, safeguarding and equal opportunities
- ensure that only students, staff and authorised visitors are permitted to enter the site and challenge any person not wearing appropriate ID credentials
- where it is suspected a person does not have a legitimate reason to be on academy premises, undertake such enquiries as necessary to establish if they have a reason to be on site and, if necessary, escort them from site
