Responsibility
- an amazing opportunity has become available at CW Fletcher & Sons Ltd
- responsible for producing new jigs, fixtures, form tools & general tooling to engineering drawings
- responsible for maintaining, repairing and improving existing jigs, fixtures, form tools & general tooling
- work closely with Tooling Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers to provide the most cost effective and efficient tooling solutions
- provide toolroom support to the maintenance department
- support Production by reacting effectively to breakdowns
- report issues to the Toolroom Supervisor or directly to stakeholders when required
- provide input into the quotation process
Requirements
- be fully competent using manual lathes for turning details up to 1 metre diameter
- be fully competent using manual machines including but not limited to milling machines, radial arm drills, surface & cylindrical grinders
- hold all of the required hand / bench skills for jig and tool manufacture and maintenance
- computer Numerical Control operation and programming
- demonstrate a good level of numeracy / literacy
- demonstrated experience of interpreting and understanding engineering drawings
- strong interpersonal skills – able to communicate effectively
- demonstrated experience of producing parts to tight tolerances
