Responsibility
- negotiate and place contracts with third party suppliers across a varied range of spend categories
- manage through to resolution commercial and contractual queries with suppliers
- manage and administer Vaultex’s Supplier Relationship Management programme including the annual due diligence exercises on Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers
- provide procurement and supplier management guidance to the business particularly to those responsible for managing suppliers on a day-to-day basis
- lead or support full end to end supplier selection exercises for goods and services, working in concert with key stakeholders, across a varied range of spend categories such as IT software licence and support, equipment maintenance and consumables
- work with Accounts Payable in setting up new suppliers and making line item / pricing changes on the business’s eProcurement platform
- support the Head of Procurement and Procurement Manager with the compilation of monthly business reports
- help ensure the business’ most important suppliers remain under contract and that where changes are required- following on from contract reviews / gap analyses- that contract variations are put in place in a timely manner
Requirements
- working towards, or willing to work towards, full MCIPS accreditation
- experience of / involvement in RFQs, RFPs including working with business stakeholders in developing specifications / supplier evaluation / negotiation
- ideally some contract experience particularly around pricing, pricing controls and service levels
- motivated and a self-starter with a proven ability to autonomously manage own work
- demonstrable drive to identify and deliver cost saving initiatives within set time frames
- competent in performing analysis on spend reports, with a keen eye for detail
- some experience of interacting with suppliers with a good appreciation of best practice methods and tools
- some practical experience of e-purchasing systems
