Education

  • minimum 5 years’ experience in a buying/supply chain role in a fast moving, quality critical business
  • CIPS qualifications are preferable although experience in lieu may be considered
  • mechanical Engineering or Technical background preferable

Requirements

  • deliver savings to bottom line from focused procurement to Group Agreements, pooling of requirements, advance procurement planning and vendor negotiation
  • determine methods of acquisition and prepare procurement orders and specifications
  • CIPS qualifications
  • ensure that goods and services are procured only from approved sources in accordance with Supplier Selection and Approval Procedure
  • driven self-starter
  • request documented proposals or quotes and record bid information including vendor price, delivery and terms and conditions
