Also staff who were mainly from the affluent area assumed I had lots of money but I live near many charity shops where all UGG boots and clothes are £1. I was there as a child workforce staff member and for my ability and qualification in childcare only. . I never had an issue with the Owner but she unfortunately believed in one side only . When favourites are now flourishing on a high salary. I never actually applied for a position here either. I did one day's supply work and I never would've contacted them again. But I was pulled in and an application firm was pushed in front of Me. I was happy doing supply in my own area.
So not the management but the staff is poor? Do I understand it well? I was thinking about applying there and I'm not really sure now. Do you think it's worth trying?
It was all a bad choice for me personally. It maybe different for you. I still, 9 years on have anxiety that the manager will jeopardise my marriage or current position. I didn't get on with the manager but she seemed to think we did and I felt forced to interact with her when I didnt want to.
I got told off for every little thing here. When I started a new job the managers picked up on it as i was so scared and i was frightened of getting told off for sitting on a chair. But they thought it was normal and I was the issue when I reacted to coercive control.
The then manager who I had absolutely no bond with ruined my agency position, my position at the little school then happily ruined my next role for me. Nit picker she was. No need for it.
A nitpicker doesnt sound like a person you want to work with... But how did she ruin your next role? Maybe there is something I don't get...
There was many things but was some time ago now. The final straw was when I received something in the post that was similar to a P45 when i finally left but it wasn't a P45 and I'd never heard of it before. I ended the conversation by email, after the owner explained it to me, with 'OK, all the best'........ which I felt was a mature and nice way to end the contact. I then got an email immediately saying they thought at the very least I should apologise. Having a go at me. Starting unessacary conflict. And even though whilst at the setting I thoroughly cared for her children and got on with parents she wrote me a very false reference stating I have issues. The owner, parents or manager would never of expected me to demand a thank you from babies for giving them food or whatever. And I'd never of done that.
Also I was shouted at by a staff member who wanted my position in front of everyone that 'I must earn respect, and I don't just get it for having the position.' I'd never dream of saying that to any manager.
