- we are seeking a talented and passionate Junior Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team
- assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in all aspects of kitchen management, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
- supervise and motivate kitchen staff to maintain high levels of productivity and efficiency
- ensure that all dishes are prepared in accordance with established recipes, portion sizes, and quality standards
- monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to minimise waste and maintain optimal stock levels
- adhere to all health and safety regulations and food hygiene standards to create a safe working environment
- assist in the development of new menu items and seasonal specials, incorporating fresh, locally sourced ingredients where possible
- collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth communication and seamless service
Requirements
- previous experience as a Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- proficiency in various cooking techniques and a strong understanding of food preparation principles
- excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and delegate tasks
- A passion for food and a creative approach to menu development
- attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional quality in every dish
