we are seeking a skilled and passionate Baker of Bread and Viennoiserie to join our team and help us deliver delicious, high-quality baked goods to our customers
the ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in traditional baking techniques, demonstrate creativity in developing new recipes, and show a genuine love for producing mouthwatering bread and viennoiserie products
as a Baker, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the exceptional standards of our bakery while contributing to the overall success of our business
dough Preparation: Mix using commercial baking equipment, and closely monitor fermentation times to achieve optimal flavor and texture
baking Operations: Prepare and bake a variety of bread and viennoiserie products, including but not limited to baguettes, croissants, brioche, challah, Danish pastries, and other specialty items, while adhering to established recipes and quality standards
ingredient Management: Ensure accurate measurements and proper usage of ingredients to maintain consistency and quality of products. Monitor ingredient inventory and report shortages as necessary
teamwork: Work collaboratively with other bakery staff and management, to ensure smooth operations and effective communication
equipment Maintenance: Regularly clean and maintain baking equipment and machinery, and promptly report any issues or malfunctions to the appropriate personnel
Requirements
proven Experience: Previous experience as a professional baker specialising in bread and viennoiserie production is essential
baking Skills: Solid knowledge of baking techniques, dough preparation, and fermentation processes, with an ability to create consistent, high-quality products
physical Stamina: Baking is physically demanding, requiring strength, endurance, and the ability to stand for extended periods
attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and precision in measurements to achieve consistent results
team Player: Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a bakery team
