pipefitter
Working hours
- full-time | Permanent
Responsibility
- carrying out mechanical repairs, pipework modifications, plant upgrades and installation
- carrying out all aspects of pipework fabrication including welding using all techniques to a recognised standard
- carrying out problem solving and diagnostic checks on mechanical and process equipment and recommending changes and improvements to the operational systems
- accepting and handing back permit to works
- carrying out work in compliance with cGMP standards
- raising purchase order requisitions and collecting stores materials as required
- conducting inspections and carrying out preventative maintenance activity
- completing small projects as defined by the Area Engineer
Requirements
- must be a time served pipefitter
- previous experience in the chemical industry would be highly advantageous
- must be self-motivated
- good diagnostic skills
- must have working knowledge of DSEAR, and PSSR regulations
