Responsibility
- to welcome all visitors to the school reception, ensuring proper security and safeguarding checks are completed
- the attend to student queries including the recording late arrivals
- making and receiving telephone calls, sending and receiving emails and texts as required
- to sort and distribute all incoming post on a daily basis
- first aid provision supported by other members of school staff
- maintain and update school information, records and databases when required
- to ensure that key information is available at the main reception, i.e. rotas
- manage the Student Receptionist - supervising their workload /allocation of tasks
Requirements
- demonstrate initiative and high standard of work
- well organised and able to prioritise a busy workload
- excellent interpersonal skills
- flexible, diplomatic and balanced in approach
- ability to exercise confidentiality and discretion on sensitive matters
- be able to work as part of a team and to work flexibly in order to meet the needs of the service
Education
- GCSE or equivalent
