hgv driver
Responsibility
- drive and operate a class 2 dust cart, refuse lorry, or bin lorry
- drive and operate a class 2 refuse lorry or bin lorry
- perform daily walk-around vehicle checks
- A minimum of one year experience in HGV Class 2 driving is essential
- the work and conditions can be demanding, but will provide a fulfilling and interesting career for the right people
- work as part of a small team
- the right person will be responsible for driving the refuse lorry and assisting loaders with collecting/emptying bins from residential premises, returning them where necessary, and ensuring all additional work and missed bins are completed
- the ideal candidate will have good communication skills, attention to safety and follow project timelines and complete tasks within the set deadlines
Requirements
- UK HGV Class 2 driving license
- drive and operate a Class 2 dust car, refuse lorry, or bin lorry
- digital tachograph card
- collect refuse from a different local area each day of the week
- CPC card
- ensure completion of all additional work and missed bins
- good communication skills
- assist with manually moving domestic wheelie bins
