Responsibility
RDL Scientific are seeking an experienced Clinical Ward Operations Manager to manage early phase clinical studies in a hospital based Clinical Unit
responsible for managing the conduct of studies to the highest safety and quality standards, in accordance with the study protocol, local procedures, organisational policies and within applicable legislative and regulatory frameworks
conducted in the correct ethical, clinical and scientific manner
conducted to HTA, ICH, GCP, GMP, Ethical, Regulatory requirements and company Policies and Procedures
deviations or discrepancies dealt with contemporaneously
manage the staffing resource in a manner that achieves all safety and quality deliverables within the organisation
participate as a member of the Clinical Unit Leadership team, leading multifunctional projects for the continuing improvement of clinical activities and quality standards
participate and lead projects and team discussions which impact study design and conduct
Requirements
minimum 5 years post registration experience in an acute/critical care setting
experience at a senior level, including responsibility for managing a team
experience of working within a clinical research environment
thorough knowledge and experience of HTA, ICH GCP, GMP and GxP requirements, regulatory and ethical requirements, SOPs and policies
understanding of local regulatory environment and commercial needs at a country level
good leadership record - proven people management skills, having been responsible for overseeing staff
demonstrates a current, in-depth understanding of the relevant medical and nursing practices and professional standards
strong people agility, influencing skills and diplomacy
