Responsibility

  • premier Lifeline Team Manager
  • provide support, supervision, pastoral care and prayer for the volunteer team
  • be available for the volunteers on the Lifeliner Support Number
  • provide technical support for the volunteers with regard to the telephone system and its operation
  • provide administration support for the recruitment and training of new volunteers
  • assist in the recruitment and training of Lifeline volunteers
  • integration, supervision and appraisal of new Lifeline volunteers in conjunction with the Projects Manager
  • oversee ongoing volunteer training

Requirements

  • demonstrable experience of recruiting, training, supervising, supporting and managing volunteers, essential
  • proven administration skills with the ability to use a range of Microsoft packages
  • experience of handling confidential and sensitive information
  • experience of the prayer and healing ministry
  • A breadth of understanding of health and social care
  • excellent and accurate communication skills both written and oral with the confidence to promote the organisation and enthuse others
  • good listening skills and empathetic
  • the post holder will need to be friendly, enthusiastic and pro-active with a flexible approach to the role and yet able to command respect, maintain boundaries and enforce operational policies and protocols
