Responsibility
- preparing and cooking food to the consistently high standards of preparation and presentation set by the Head Chef
- assisting the Head Chef with devising and introducing menus and daily specials suitable for the operation
- following all Food Hygiene, Kitchen Cleaning and other health and safety responsibilities at all times
- assisting the Head Chef with training and managing the kitchen team
- undertaking such administration as requested for the effective running of the kitchen
- deputising for the Head Chef in the Head Chef's absence and leading the team on shifts when the Catering Manager is not present
- liaising with bar staff and the duty manager to communicate delivery times, items out of stock and other information necessary to present a professional service to customers
- assisting the Head Chef with stock management so that adequate levels of stock are held and there is no wastage
