mechanical design engineer
Responsibility
- playing a key role in concept development and evolving those ideas into detailed designs using 3D CAD
- applying your technical knowledge to work with challenging mechanical requirements
- producing detailed machine and factory layouts using 2D CAD
- producing comprehensive bill of materials and parts lists, for all mechanical aspects of a project
- engaging in regular meetings with the Project Team, Suppliers and Clients, to understand and execute the mechanical requirements of automation projects

Requirements

- identify and understand the requirements of the internal customer
- mechanical design/engineering experience within the automation industry
- all round proficiency in communication
- A minimum of an HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline
- maintaining a clean paper free working environment
- have an interest in Mechanical Design within the automation industry
- highly proficient in 3D CAD with experience designing for manufacture
