Responsibility
- play a key role in all aspects of setting up a new NWCR shop
- ensure that the shop is adequately staffed with volunteers to maintain service levels and turnover
- achieve agreed income targets including sales & Gift Aid
- effectively manage and develop Deputy Shop Manager
- understand and work to NWCR standards regarding stock management, visual merchandising & pricing
- keep safe all NWCR property and ensure financial reporting processes are completed
- foster an inclusive culture, putting diversity at the heart of recruitment and taking a ‘zero tolerance’ approach to all forms of prejudice
- attend regular meetings without disruption to trading
Requirements
- proof of your eligibility to work in the UK
- demonstrable experience of leading and managing a team
- DBS check
- previous retail experience in either a charity or commercial setting
- some local travel requirements
- proven drive & ability to meet or exceed targets
- tendency to self-motivate and assume responsibility, organizing yourself and others
- basic IT literacy and numeracy skills as well as the ability to understand and interpret basic financial reports
