- manage the undertakings of the business in line with the Office of the Traffic Commissioner requirements on a restricted operator’s licence
- support recruitment and induction of drivers
- ensure that daily vehicle checks and preventative maintenance is both documented and carried out to a high standard
- where possible conduct repairs internally
- maintain and develop all transport related accreditations
- work with other managers to ensure Drivers both drive and operate tankers to a high standard, providing a framework for the assessment and monitoring of driver skills and risks
- drive continuous improvement initiatives
- work with QHSE to manage work related road risk across the business, developing programmes to monitor and reduce risk
