Responsibility
- ¡ Supporting internal teams with detailed cost plans for new projects and providing ongoing advice on construction contract issues
- ¡ Supporting colleagues from pre ITT stage through to evaluation of tender returns and review of contractor proposals

- reporting to the Director of Technical, Planning & Construction, we are looking for someone to provide cost advice and support on construction contracts across the various LocatED workstreams
- ¡ Providing ongoing budget monitoring of schemes to ensure they remain on budget and any variances are reviewed and justified
- ideally this role will be home based in the South East, with site/office visits required as necessary. Please note both full and part time will be considered for this position
- ¡ Proactively reviewing schemes to help enhance buildability and the value for money proposition
Requirements
- ¡ Relevant Cost/Quantity Surveyor qualification and/or training
- ¡ Have excellent knowledge of construction costing techniques and construction contract law especially JCT contracts
- ¡ Experience of reporting at board level on costs and variances plus writing reports to justify any budget changes
- ¡ Highly organised with strong attention to detail, ensuring clarity and accuracy
- ¡ Strong time-management skills with ability to manage competing priorities
- ¡ Excellent communication and presentation skills combined with strong attention to detail
