• I am looking for someone who is outgoing and funny yet laidback
• I am looking to employ a Bank Personal Assistant to work with me. I live in Staplehurst. I also stay in Sittingbourne sometimes and may need support there, so being a driver is essential
• please note if I am asking you to travel to Sittingbourne your travel time and mileage will be paid if you are using your own car
• you will need to feel comfortable to be in social / active environments which will include shopping centre, pubs and nightclubs
• you will need to drive and have a car as I live quite rurally
• in the future, I will be getting a car, and I will need you to drive this at least until I pass my driving test
• in addition, you will attend personal training sessions and horse-riding with me
• in future, I may need support to wash and manage my hair and therefore I am advertising for a female worker
• I have cerebral palsy and a speech impairment. I am very independent though, so need support rather than someone to do everything for me
• I want a Personal Assistant who can come shopping with me, attend beauty appointments, come to the cinema and do other leisure activities which will include going out in the evening
• the days of work will be during the week mainly, but sometimes I may need a weekend day

Requirements

• we are looking for someone who has experience of working with children or adults with disabilities. This is essential
• you will be working in Amy’s home and thus you must always maintain confidentiality and privacy for Amy and her family
• having knowledge of PEG feeding is an advantage, though we can provide training on this if you do not have this experience. Similarly, experience of using a hoist is useful, but not essential as full training will be given
