Requirements

valid driving license and willingness to travel to various locations
BPCA Level 2 in Pest Management qualification
proven experience as a Pest Control Technician
knowledge of the behavior and habits of endangered species and their habitats
strong understanding of integrated pest management principles
excellent communication and customer service skills
inspections
royal Society of Health Cert in Pest Control or British Pest Control Association Diploma’s Part 1 and 2
royal Society of Health Cert in Pest Control or British Pest Control Association Diploma’s Level 3
bird proofing work is desirable
minimum of 2 years previous experience in the pest control industry
excellent ability to communicate with clients of all types
good written communication skills
minimum qualification requirement of BPCA/RSPH Level 2 Award in Pest Management
possess a good understanding of onsite health and safety, CSCS certification would be beneficial
confident in using IT, including a tablet-based diary and job reporting system
ability to work independently or as part of a team
able to work flexible hours when required
the successful candidate will be required to manage an existing client base whilst actively seeking out new customers
experience in all aspects of pest management works including rodents, wasps, ants, flies, bedbugs, fleas, textile pests, stored product insects and bird proofing

Responsibility

conduct pest control assessments and implement effective, environmentally conscious solutions
specialize in managing pest control challenges related to endangered species habitats
utilize your expertise to develop and implement integrated pest management plans
operate and maintain pest control equipment in accordance with industry standards
provide excellent customer service and education on pest prevention measures
complete detailed reports on pest control activities and recommendations
take "ownership" of other pest related issues, i.e. cleaning / proofing, to resolve ongoing problems
formulate detailed reports on any red stores escalating issues to the City Operations Managers and National Technical Inspection Manager
use only approved pesticides in a safe and responsible manner as specified under the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health
to identify infestation non-repairable faults in plant and machinery
to carry out proofing works and installations within the individual’s technical competence in accordance with current specifications
to complete general pest proofing and maintenance to the individual stores
to oversee and manage any pest proofing works that are requiring a sub-contractor to implement and install
carry out by Pest Proofing and prevent and/or control pest infestation at allocated Stores and Distribution centres
carrying out preventative pest control visits for a wide range of pests and vermin to both commercial and domestic properties
manage call out work around a framework of scheduled contract service visits as per customer contract
responding to reactive call outs to customers premises, which may include accessing loft areas, using ladders etc
complete detailed service reports for work completed and identify ongoing recommendations along with materials used
making hygiene, housekeeping and proofing recommendations on customers site
actively seek and process new leads
