Requirements

florist: 3 years
strong organisational skills to manage multiple orders and deadlines
excellent communication skills to interact with customers and understand their preferences
ability to sell floral products and upsell additional items or services
knowledge of different types of flowers, plants, and their care requirements
experience working in a garden center or florist shop is preferred but not required
florist: 2 years
proven experience as a florist or floral designer, with leadership experience
strong knowledge of floral design techniques, flower varieties, and care procedures
excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
creative flair and attention to detail
ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
proficiency in POS systems and basic computer skills
flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and special events as needed
formal training in floral design or horticulture is desired
while the role is predominantly Monday to Friday, there are occasions during the seasonal cycle that may require some weekend work

Responsibility

attending operations and creative team meetings
liaising with Floral Designers to proactively solve problems and ensure that communications are consistent
supporting florist teams with hands-on floristry work and site work
ensuring schedules are met and setting work pace
support buying during peak times
overseeing packing and loading of events

create unique and visually appealing floral arrangements for weddings, events, masterclasses and everyday occasions
assist customers in selecting the perfect flowers and arrangements for their needs
arrange flowers in vases, baskets, or other containers
ensure that all floral arrangements are properly cared for and maintained
provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns
keep work area clean and organised
maintain adequate inventory levels of both horticulture and sundries to fulfil customer demand
ensure that all orders are fulfilled in line with SLA’s
ensure compliance with all legal requirements including health and safety, fire safety, fleet management and people policies

quoting and Costing: Provide accurate and competitive quotes for wedding and event floristry. This aspect of the role is commission-based, offering a generous commission for securing wedding sales
