I am currently looking for a Grounds Maintenance Operative on a contract basis for a housing provider based in North West London
all forms of shrub, flower beds, herbaceous beds and hedge maintenance
pedestrian grass mowing, strimming and leaf blowing
planting, watering, and maintenance of annual bedding displays
assist in the preparation and maintenance of sports pitches, including line marking, erection and dismantling of sports equipment
application of herbicides in accordance with current environmental legislation
be able to work individually or as part of a team to undertake a full range of horticultural duties within the portfolio using a full range of hand tools and mechanical machinery
perform general grounds maintenance duties including grass cutting, hedge pruning, weed control and leaf clearance
operate and maintain power tools and hand tools safely and effectively
working safely and efficiently both in a team and alone
driving a LWB van from base to multiple sites per day
conduct regular inspections of grounds to identify maintenance needs and report any issues E.g invasive weeds
ensure that all areas are kept clean and free from debris and safe for the site operators
