Responsibility

  • you’ll also lead and mentor a passionate team, and assist in menu development, keeping our offerings fresh, seasonal, and exciting
  • as the Deputy Chef at Jessie’s Café, you will be an integral part of our kitchen team, supporting the Head Chef in managing daily operations and ensuring that our all-day breakfast and brunch offerings meet the highest standards of quality
  • whether it’s a perfectly cooked breakfast, a fresh flipped pancake, or an indulgent brunch dish, you’ll help ensure that every meal leaves our customers smiling
  • this is a great opportunity for an experienced chef to contribute to a fun, creative environment and work with locally sourced ingredients in a bustling café setting
  • stock Management: Oversee inventory, assist with ordering, and ensure proper stock rotation to reduce waste and keep costs in check
  • hygiene & Safety: Maintain a clean, organised kitchen that adheres to food safety regulations and health & safety guidelines
  • support the Head Chef: Assist in managing kitchen operations, including overseeing food preparation, ensuring consistency, and helping maintain high standards in the absence of the Head Chef
  • breakfast & Brunch Specialties: Prepare, cook, and present all-day breakfast and brunch dishes, with a focus on fresh ingredients, seasonal produce, and creative presentation
