develop and maintain a comprehensive compliance program specifically tailored to the healthcare agency industry
ensure compliance training programs are in place for all employees, providing education and guidance on relevant compliance topics
implement and manage effective policies, procedures, and protocols to prevent and detect violations and ensure adherence to ethical standards
conduct regular audits and internal assessments to identify areas of potential non-compliance and develop corrective action plans
maintain an in-depth understanding of best practices and industry standards in healthcare compliance to continuously enhance the compliance program
serve as a subject matter expert on compliance matters, providing advice and guidance to senior leadership, management, and employees
stay up-to-date with local, state, and federal regulations governing healthcare agencies, such as HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and False Claims Act
conduct investigations into potential compliance breaches, report findings, and recommend appropriate corrective measures
Education
bachelor's
Requirements
minimum of 5-6 years of experience in a senior compliance role within the healthcare agency industry
strong knowledge of relevant healthcare compliance regulations and standards, including HIPAA, Stark Law, and Anti-Kickback Statute
proven expertise in designing and implementing effective compliance programs and policies
experience conducting audits, investigations, and risk assessments related to compliance
excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex compliance concepts to staff at all levels
strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail
bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, law, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification in healthcare compliance is preferred
ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and prioritize workload effectively
