provide effective and inspirational leadership, supervision and support to a team of staff working in the therapeutic children's home
actively contribute in team meetings and other activities as required
work within an EDI framework, adhere to all the organisation's policies, procedures and working practices
ensure that the home meets all legislative and regulatory requirements, including those of Ofsted, and that all staff adhere to policies and procedures
ensure that appropriate risk assessments are undertaken and that all staff are aware of and adhere to risk management procedures
develop and maintain positive relationships with children, their families and other stakeholders, including local authorities, education and health professionals
ensure that the home operates within its financial budget and that all financial procedures are followed
Requirements
you will be creative, solution focused and always playful at heart
and if that isn’t enough, you can extend this to your staff team even when they’ve not been at their best
flexibility to work unsocial hours and participate in the on-call rota
significant experience of managing and leading teams in a children's residential setting
enhanced DBS clearance
excellent leadership, management and supervisory skills
experience of working with children and young people who have experienced trauma
knowledge of therapeutic approaches to working with children, such as attachment theory
