Responsibility
- taking full ownership of weekly, monthly, and quarterly payrolls, ensuring a seamless and compliant process
- arranging BACs payroll payments, including salaries, monthly tax liabilities, and third-party payments where applicable
- ensuring all payroll reports are generated and securely filed electronically
- processing payrolls in line with statutory and professional regulations
- adhering to the departmental payroll processing timetable to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently
- handling ad hoc queries and tasks as required
- managing all aspects of client payrolls, including processing starters and leavers, maintaining accurate personal data, calculating statutory absence payments, and handling termination payments
Requirements
- experience in handling complex payroll structures
- minimum of 2 years' payroll experience
- understanding of payroll legislation and compliance
- previous experience in an accountancy practice or high-volume payroll department
- ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively
- strong working knowledge of payroll systems
- A customer service mindset, with strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
