Responsibility
- to be involved in the development of the home and service provided, ensuring a high quality of care is delivered
- co-ordinate and monitor staffing levels within the home to ensure individual need is met
- to be involved in the home's selection and recruitment process
- to organise, deliver and coordinate induction, supervision, appraisal and support to individual staff, including coaching and role modelling on shift
- we are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Assistant Manager to join the management team at Foxes Lodge. As an Assistant Manager, you are responsible for being the practice lead and for the day-to-day support of the staff team
- to be the designated person in charge in the Registered Manager's absence
- to be part of an on-call system outside of designated hours
- ensure all staff understand and implement the relevant safeguarding, care and health and safety policies
Requirements
- level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care or equivalent
- willing to work towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management
- A minimum of 3 years of working in a residential childcare setting or equivalent provision
- experience of supervising and managing a team
- the ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service
- A strong ‘can do’ attitude and positive work ethic
- residential Childcare: 3 years
- the desire to change young people’s lives
