Responsibility
- H&G Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Transport Supervisor for our client based in Maidstone with an immediate start
- the full-time working week Sunday to Thursday 22-00 to 06-00
- manage drivers to ensure duties are carried out in a timely manner to meet KPI's
- ensure quality standards are maintained in line with OTIF measures
- ensure full compliance with all relevant legislative and corporate requirements relating to transport
- first point of contact for any supervisory staff queries
- asset tracking to ensure vehicles and trailers are available for scheduled servicing and maintenance
- managing and delivering the despatch and cage return plan
Requirements
- experience as a Transport First Line Manager
- experience of working in a fast-paced operation
- capability to plan, manage your own workload and communicate effectively to others
- knowledge of transport legislation, Working Time Directive, Drivers hours
- experience in employee relations and dealing with HR cases
- experience of dealing with accidents/incidents and overseeing the reporting and investigating
- CPC qualified would be advantageous but not essential
