Responsibility
- possess a comprehensive understanding of industrial kitchens, cold rooms, and associated equipment
- maintain and ensure the proper functioning of all catering and refrigeration equipment, promptly addressing any issues that may arise
- source and procure necessary parts to facilitate equipment repairs
- install, service, and maintain various commercial kitchen equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using appropriate tools
- utilize test equipment and hand tools to diagnose and rectify malfunctions in systems, apparatus, and components
- safely make electrical, gas, and water connections in accordance with relevant regulations
- conduct periodic preventative maintenance inspections on kitchen equipment and components, identifying hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair
- provide management with advice on whether the continued operation of equipment could pose hazards
Requirements
- part-time role
- valid COMCAT 1, 2, 3 & 5 certifications
- experience working with industrial kitchen equipment, including Rational products such as Combi-Ovens and Ivarios, Brat Pans, Robot Coupe products like stick blenders, blixers, and food processors, large-scale Pot Wash systems, Blast Chillers, Fridges, Gas Stoves, LPG & FGAS refrigeration , and relevant electrical experience
