- responding to all emergencies within the grounds, controlling access during social and official functions, remaining on call during quiet hours
- overseeing all CCTV coverage and checking functionality of proximity card access, intruder alarms and fire detection systems
- management and leadership of the security and car parking team
- responsible for undertaking full investigations of any security breaches or issues, implementation of plans to mitigate risks in the future
- providing a presence and advice where necessary on security requirements for ad hoc one-off events
- liaising with local Police Forces and where necessary other security organisations
- responsible for the management of all aspects of physical security and welfare of the building and grounds and the protection of artefacts / heritage assets against loss or damage
- attend weekly Heads of Department meetings to determine Inner Temple business and operational needs
