maintenance person
Responsibility
- carry out routine maintenance tasks, including general repairs
- ensure all equipment and appliances are in good working order
- perform inspections and assessments of the care home’s physical environment and facilities
- drive to local suppliers or other care home locations to deliver/collect items and materials
- record and monitor maintenance requests and updates via our IT systems
- assist with the implementation of health and safety procedures, ensuring compliance with all regulations
- liaise with contractors for larger repairs or installations
- ensure the overall cleanliness and safety of the care home environment
Requirements
- full UK Driving License
- previous experience in maintenance or a similar hands-on role
- good IT skills, including basic knowledge of using maintenance management software and email
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- previous experience in a care home environment
- excellent time management and organizational skills
- qualifications in basic electrical, plumbing, or maintenance work
- strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with residents, families, and colleagues
