Responsibility
- take responsibility for the health and safety of visitors, staff and volunteers
- to assist the General Manager in other areas
- this is a hands on role within a small team
- to continually improve the cafe by adding new lines of food and drink and improving presentation
- to operate the tills in admissions and/or cafe as needed
- fairytale Farm is the UK's first visitor attraction to put disabled children first in its design and layout - but is loved by children of all abilities
- to ensure the security of cash
- to assist the Manager in maintaining the Farm's Security Policy
Requirements
- previous supervisory experience is essential
- ability to work in an environment that can range from very busy and high pressured to extremely quiet
- experience and understanding of seasonal operations
- some experience in food preparation would be an advantage
- food hygiene level 3 is essential - good knowledge of level 2 may be considered
- ability to communicate with the public and other members of staff in a positive way. Must be friendly and inviting; this role is very much customer facing
- first-Line Managers: 2 years
- ideally first aid at work qualified, or willing to become qualified
