Responsibility

- carrying out general repairs and maintenance tasks, such as painting, plumbing, and electrical work
- we are looking for a skilled and reliable caretaker to join our team at a well-respected secondary school in Southend on Sea
- providing support for school events, including evening and weekend work as required
- the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the school is a safe and clean environment for students, staff, and visitors
- managing the security of the school premises, including locking and unlocking doors, monitoring CCTV, and responding to alarms
- setting up and clearing away equipment and furniture for events and activities
Requirements
- previous experience in a similar caretaking or facilities role
- strong practical skills, with experience in maintenance and repair work
- excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
