mechanical design engineer
Working hours
- full-time | Permanent
Responsibility
- provide mechanical designs, meeting the requirements of both customer and business
- issuing technical drawings to production department
- assisting projects to ensure they are both time and cost effective
- carrying out machinery risk assessments
- we are currently recruiting for an Mechanical Design Engineer on behalf of our client in Wakefield. This role is on a permanent basis, salaried at £40k - £45k depending on experience
- liaising with 3rd parties as and when a project requires
Requirements
- HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or similar as a minimum
- confident with 2D and 3D CAD
- working knowledge of mechanical engineering principles
- previous experience in a similar role advantageous
- experience of working on projects throughout the full lifecycle, while being aware of timescales and budgets
