- the young people may also have additional learning difficulties and display associated challenging behaviours
- we are looking to recruit competent, experienced, and passionate support workers
- holding a valid driving licence is essential
- smoothstone Care and Education provide safe, stimulating care and aspirational educational opportunities to children and young people aged between 11 and 18 with a range of complex speech, language and communication difficulties including autism
- being part of the Smoothstone family means working in a ‘home from home’ environment with fantastic opportunities to participate in a wide range of activities with the young people including theatre and cinema visits, sporting activities, country walks, and days out to amusement parks
- candidates will have at least 1 years experience within a similar setting, a working knowledge of autism and will already hold a Level 3 Diploma in residential childcare or equivalent
