Responsibility
- ensure all areas remain compliant with a weight towards the transport side of the business
- keep costs on track and within budget
- ensure the legal compliance within the transport sector of the business
- lead, motivate and support a large team within a time- sensitive and demanding environment, including career development plans for direct reports and problem resolution
- manage data collection for the updating of metrics to achieve productivity targets, reduce cost per unit, eliminate errors and deliver excellent customer service
- track staffing requirements, hiring new employees as required
- maintain constant communication with managers , staff and relevant suppliers to ensure proper operations of the company
- develop, implement and maintain quality assurance protocols
Requirements
- two or more years in operations management role
- strong skill set in budget control and development
- excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintain organizational control of operations department and customer service
- proficiency in conflict management and negotiation
- transport management CPC qualification
- knowledge of business productivity software and an aptitude for learning new applications
- operations management: 1 year
