- ensuring the children are cared for in a happy, safe and stimulating environment
- having key person responsibilities, keeping accurate developmental records and observations
- working in partnership with the parents/families to share children's milestones and plan for progress
- following the policies and procedures set out by the nursery including safeguarding and confidentiality
- working co-operatively as part of a team
- attending and contributing to monthly staff meetings
- taking children to visit the local retirement home
- meeting the children’s individual needs through planning, preparing activities, ensuring equality of opportunities and reviewing the curriculum in relation to the Early Years Foundation Stage guidance
Requirements
- A genuine passion to provide high quality childcare, enthusiasm and energy for working with children
- full and relevant level 3 childcare qualification - or due to qualify
- A sound understanding of the EYFS and Safeguarding
- experience of working with the under 5's
- right to work in the UK
- no criminal record
- childcare: 1 year
- surbiton KT6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work
