Responsibility
- audit of accounts in accordance with ISAs, including attendance at client premises
- lead company audit assignments, which will include planning, fieldwork and completion using standard programmes

- research and analyse financial statements and audit related issues
- assist in the planning, execution and completion of all areas of the audit for manager and partner review, including the preparation of draft reports and financial statements
- develop relevant knowledge and skills through continued study
- produce more complex draft financial statements in a statutory format using the firm’s accounting software
- assist with pre audit planning with Senior, Manager and Partner, attend client premises for each audit assignment at planning and field work stage, and presenting the audit files for manager review with key audit findings to be communicated to the client manager and/or partner
- planning audit assignments, identifying key risks, assessing how to test them, assessing and reviewing the budgets through to completing an analytical review
- maintain client confidentiality and professional relationships
- bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, supplier maintenance and management accounts, as and when required
- communicate directly with clients, partners and support staff on all matters to ensure all queries are discussed and unresolved matters are brought to the attention of client managers or partner
- maintain and uphold the professional ethical standards of the company and legal regulations purporting to money laundering and terrorist financing
- produce consolidated financial statements for a group
- assisting managers where required for ad hoc work including profit and cash flow forecasting, management accounts, valuations and due diligence work etc
Requirements
- ACA or ACCA part qualified
- be confident in accounts and audit work as outlined above, with two years’ experience, gained within practice
- have the ability and desire to mentor and oversee junior team members
