Responsibility
- care Staff Wales is seeking a Deputy Manager to be part of the new Children's Residential Homes opening soon in Cardiff
- whilst contributing to continuous improvement and quality control monitoring to ensure a high-quality service is provided
- as a Deputy, you will be supervising staff and working alongside the Registered manager to ensure the highest level of care is being delivered
- you will be working as part of an integrated team to ensure effective care and protection are provided to children and young persons in the service provision
- you will assist in all aspects of managing the service and ensuring the smooth running of the homes and inspire your staff through your passion for changing the lives of those children and young people in the homes
- after gaining a thorough understanding of the 'Therapeutic Model' used at the homes, you will then help train and induct staff, allocate and monitor duties to ensure your team develops their knowledge and skills, building a strong work ethic and positive environment within the homes
- as a Deputy Manager, you will also be able to effectively work with others, deliver an excellent standard of care demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of national minimal standards, and relevant legislation, and understand best practices in Children's Residential care
Requirements
- hold the Right to Work in the UK
- possess an enhanced DBS certificate registered with an online update service or be willing to process a new application
- have up-to-date mandatory training in Food Hygiene, Health and Safety, Fire Safety, Infection Prevention, Equality, and Diversity
- provide two care-related employment references and one personal reference
- QCF Level 3 in Children and Young People Residential Care
- calmness under pressure when dealing with challenging behavior
- flexibility and adaptability
- NVQ4 Leadership and Management in Health and Social Care qualification is desirable
