Responsibility

• your responsibilities will include
• effectively train and support the team
• reporting into the Catering Manager you will directly manage the kitchen and cold production areas, with overall responsibility of the production and delivery of our range of sandwiches, wraps and salads as well as the hotplate products for our main kitchen

• you will work alongside the teams ensuring a safe working environment, whilst producing high quality products to meet the needs of the business and delight our customers
• manage and escalate any issues in a timely manner regarding colleagues or inability to meet production or food service deadlines
• oversee specification and presentation of products to ensure we are maintaining the company standards whilst working with the wider food team in the development and specifically the implementation of new products
• responsible for kitchen and cold production Rota’s, completed to budget allowance
• deliver engagement check ins for new colleagues recruited to finishing kitchen and cold production departments
• work as part of the wider catering team where necessary, using flexibility and your initiative to change your own activities to meet different circumstances
• ensure that Kitchen and store areas are maintained to a high standard, working within food safety guidelines and ensure all Health and Safety procedures are adhered to and audited in line with the health and safety policy
• ensuring the day to day delivery and distribution of hot food along with our range of cold products for sale in all areas of the business, is line with anticipated trade and ensure effective, clear communications between departments to ensure awareness of product movement
• guide and support stock controller in all aspects of ordering and stock movements as necessary, ensuring all procedures are followed regarding production, transfers, shipping, wastage and invoice processing

Responsibility

• through coaching and presence in the department you will work through the Service Leaders to ensure your team are consistently delivering brilliant customer service, food quality, day to day standards and availability
• assist the Catering Manager with rota planning including scheduling, recruitment, absence and holiday management to meet customer needs, as well as reporting any issues on hours or budgets to the Operations Manager
