- you must be both willing and eager to undertake training and supervision and be flexible in your approach
- to provide care and support to a fun-loving, engaging and determined 14 year old young person who has a brain injury with complex needs
- you will work in the young person’s own home and undertake a wide range of duties including personal care, supporting with learning/development and promoting the rehabilitation of the young person
- enabling the young person to access leisure and community activities and willingness to accompany and support the young person on family holidays will also be part of the role
- the role requires sensitivity to the young person’s needs and to work in partnership with therapists and other professionals, to meet her needs and to support her progression and development
- she has a home education package in place so this role would ideally suit someone with relevant experience in children’s education and/or children’s care
