Responsibility
- to produce a development plan for the service that ensures the delivery of high quality, clinically informed practice
- to support staff to achieve the highest standards of care for the residents
- to work with the Registered Manager on induction and mentoring of new team members
- to assist and supervise in the continual assessment of the needs of the young people and to identify and prepare specific development plans to ensure the most appropriate service provision
- to promote appropriate and therapeutic relationships between staff and young people and their families, promoting involvement and participation in the day-to-day life of the Home
- to represent the company at both internal and external meetings, as required
- liaise with the various internal and external multi-disciplinary teams and commissioning authorities to ensure that the care needs of new and existing residents are met
- to ensure that the Company's financial and administrative procedures are adhered to and to work within a set budget
Requirements
- NVQ3 in relevant field
- desire to study for NVQ5 in relevant field
- QCF Level 3 in Childcare or an equivalent qualification
- initiative and problem solving skills
- organisation skills
- encourages CPD in self and others
- builds sound and productive working relationships
- supervisory: 2 years
